Skywalker Trampolines

The trampoline was delivered as expected, in time for Christmas, and our kids went crazy when they saw it :) It was super simple to set up and we all have been having a great time jumping, laughing and enjoy time together on it.

My grandson loves it. It's perfect size, we'll built, shipped great. No complaints. Love it.

Just put the trampoline up today so review isn’t about longevity. It’s about putting it together. My husband & I did it in about 2 1/2 hours. Pretty easy for the most part UNTIL you have to put all the springs on. You definitely need 2 ppl & the tool they provide helps but only about 1/2 way. After that I would definitely suggest getting a pipe or something long & skinny to assist with the tool they give you. You need something to assist with leverage since you’re pulling a very tight string into a very little hole.
I would definitely recommend though. It may seem like a daunting task when you first open the box but slow & steady wins the race. And the appreciation of your kids!!

This is the best buy for the money. We have a 22 month old granddaughter who was learning to jump. She would hold onto bedrails and jump, but slipped and bonked her head hard on the bed.

We, her grandparents, take care of her while her parents work. It is getting cold and I thought this would be a great indoor activity for her. While she is pretty bright, we had to show her one time how to zip and unzip, and she was off.

I tied some little cords to the zipper tab to make it easier for her to grip. We also used resealable foam pipe insulation (sort of like pool noodles) in addition to the thin foam padding that came with the mini-trampoline. We did this to prevent bonks and because her mother was apprehensive about the whole idea.

These foam insulation noodles run under $4. 50 per 6 ft and it takes six. It is worth the extra money, but you still need to use the enclosed padding as well.

Having said all this, the package arrived very fast, was packed well, quality parts, and pretty easy to follow instructions.

For people who are mechanical, you will do fine, but on Step 8, be sure to turn the joints so that the two screw holes inside are facing up. I did not check and had to re-do three poles.

On Step 15, roll back the edge of the sleeve on top of itself like a cuff for about two inches to give yourself something to tug on to have it slide on better.

If you do the extra padding, be sure and spend extra on the resealable foam because it is much easier. I did one segment with duck tape, as I had an old section at home to see if it would work before buying more. Of course my little engineer in the making noticed it and started trying to peel it and figure out what it was.

Finally, I am the grandmother who did most of the construction but my husband had to do the screws. Our drill was just not powerful enough or the drill bits we had were not good enough, but it was easier to use a rachet screwdriver with some elbow grease.

My daughter is thrilled with the safety features and granddaughter is now bouncing in the middle by herself and bouncing all about within 2 weeks of getting it.

I bought a mini-tramp for me and we both jump together.

lots of work setting this up. verry well made and really heavy duty. this is not a 1 hr set up at least not for me i needed help. this is well made and the kids love it. i would recommend to everyone and this would be a great gift. this has given us no problems great product.

We installed the trampoline late in summer. I was not able to assemble it myself due to nerve issues in my hands. My father built it for us, and this is what he had to say about it:

Including inventory and organizing the parts, it took about 4:00 hours to assemble the trampoline. The hardest part was assembling the framework. It required a hammer and a pair of groove joint pliers because the pipes would not fit into the t-brackets properly. I had to compress the square ends of the pipes slightly with the pliers and then hammer on the t-brackets. The 72 springs were another challenge once you got past the first 24 springs. The last 12 were the worst. They required tremendous strength to align them in the holes of the frame and a hammer was needed to seat the spring in the hole. The screws for the netting poles were no picnic either. It was very difficult to keep the hole in the cap and the hole in the pole aligned with each other while screwing in the screw. As for the netting poles, one of us had to stand on the trampoline to push the last 4 poles into place while the other guided the pole into the bracket. Once assembled, it was very sturdy and safe. We loved its operation.

Tearing the trampoline down to store it or move it will likely involve a couple of hours. The carry bag was a nice thought, but the trampoline would have to be completely disassembled to fit in the bag. Most people will either find a cover to protect the trampoline when not in use or only partially disassemble the frame.

We have since removed the upper poles for winter and bought a cover for it. We have highly enjoyed using it when it was warmer and look forward to the warmer weather next year to use it again.

The box this trampoline comes in is HEAVY; it took 3 Amazon delivery drivers to carry this trampoline up to my porch. But also the actual trampoline is nice and sturdy. I like that the springs are covered with the mat and that the enclosure connects the whole way down so toes can't slip out into the springs. So far my kids haven't broken the enclosure when pushing on the sides (the way they did with previous trampolines). I do wish the enclosure was easier for my kids to slide in and out of by themselves without having to clasp/unclasp it, but still, this is quality trampoline at what I think is a really reasonable price, and I'd order from Skywalker again.

This is the best trampoline that we've ever owned. Assembly is pretty typical in terms of time it takes, especially on the larger variety. That said, the net system is unique and keeps everything inside the jumping area and makes it nice for the younger kids. Very strong, as I'm 185 lbs and jump the same time my two younger kids (40 lbs and 55 lbs respectively) without issue, and even have one of the older ones on there as well for 4 at a time. So far very durable, but we'll see how it does in the AZ summer heat after a few seasons.

The only downside to this trampoline is how heavy it is. Setting it up was a lot more work than I had anticipated. My husband and I got sunburned while putting this trampoline together, simply because I underestimated how much time it would take. It was almost two full hours. I wouldn't say putting this beast together was "hard", it was just really time consuming. The instructions were easy enough to follow. Oh and the box is ridiculously heavy too. I wish we had pulled out a dolly to move it to the back instead of trying to carry/drag it ourselves.
But it was a thousand percent worth it. My kids were so excited, they wouldn't come inside for 4 hours that first afternoon. They called some neighborhood friends over and before we knew it, we had almost a dozen kids were out back waiting in their turn to jump away! I heard so many of them say they like this trampoline way better than theirs or ones they've had in the past. I heard things like this one was "way bigger" and they could "jump higher, for sure".
Now that school is back in session, I am happy to report my kids still use the trampoline 1-2 during the week and at least once on weekends. Sometimes my 12yo and her bestie just go hang on it, like it's a hammock. Which is honestly just as cool.
Overall, this trampoline is really well made. It's a lot sturdier than I expected. It doesn't look "cheap" or like one you'd pick up down the street at your local box store. We're very impressed.

Sidenote: This product required me to make an extra purchase. I had my husband pick up two ground anchors and chain, to fixate the trampoline's legs to the dirt. We get strong gusts winds here and I've seen too many youtube videos of flying trampolines, lol. Anyway, we learned the hard way to place the anchor screws underneath the trampoline... where little feet can't step on one! I also wish I would have grabbed the neon orange anchors instead of the silver ones, so they would have been easier to see in the grass.
