Share How You #GetUp
“We all fall. It’s how we get up that matters.”
Happy National #GetUp Day! A day dedicated to sharing inspiring stories of perseverance; setting a reminder to pick ourselves up when we’ve fallen and give it (whatever that may be) another go!
“#GetUp is about being fearless in the face of falling,” according to the US Figure Skating (USFS).
While the day was initially dedicated to ice skating, we jumped on board with the spirit of getting back up and how that applies to every aspect of life. Just like in figure skating, we all fall sometimes. The tough part is bouncing back.
Fact: The best part about falling down on the trampoline is that you can bounce back up even higher.
Which is similar to falling down in life. Once you get back up and go at it again, you are more likely to get closer to your goal. You’ve already failed once and you’ve figured out one way that won’t work. Maybe it’s that you need to study more, work on your soccer defense or have a little more confidence. All we know for certain is that when there’s a will, there’s a way.
National Get Up Day honors this perseverance.
But we should. Those are the stories that inspire others to get up and try again.
Join us by sharing your own personal stories of feeling like you’ve failed but getting back up to try again. Whether that may be attempting a double front flip, failing an exam or whatever else it may be! Be sure to use the hashtag #GetUp and remember, we all face failure and that’s okay — just get up and try again because those are the moments that really count.
