Trampolines are most commonly connected to kids and let’s be honest, when was the last time you jumped on one? While trampolines are great for keeping the kids entertained, here’s a few reasons why they are also great for your health.
- Jumping on the trampoline increases your heart and breath rate which, in turn, improves your cardiovascular health in a safe environment. The flexible surface of the jump mat reduces the high impact on your joints when landing, making joint injuries less common vs. jumping on the ground.
- Let’s face it, not all of us are born with perfect hand-eye coordination and balance. Or is that just me? Anyway, trampolines are great for improving balance and coordination. We bounce into the air at unexpected angles and our body has to find its center of gravity before landing again. That being said, our body gets better at finding its balance in quick instances when recovering from those unexpected bounce which increases muscle tone.
- Most importantly, jumping on the trampoline is a fun form of exercise. The feeling of flying in the air is not only freeing but exhilarating. With that feeling, there’s a better chance that you’ll continue with it. Trust us, you’re not alone in having a hard time sticking to the routine.
We know these reasons are convincing but if you’re still skeptical, check out our blog post about what happens to your body on a trampoline.
