Three Reasons Adults Should Jump on a Trampoline
Adults jumping on a trampoline is not the first thing that comes to mind when you are considering making that purchase. Most commonly trampolines are connected to kids. While trampolines are great for keeping the kids entertained, there are some great health benefits for adults when they jump on a trampoline.
- When you jump on a trampoline your heart breath rate increases which, in turn, improves your cardiovascular health. The flexible surface of the jump mat reduces the high impact on your joints when landing, making joint injuries less common vs. jumping on the ground.
- Not all of us are born with perfect hand-eye coordination or balance and trampolines are great for improving balance and coordination. We bounce into the air at unexpected angles and our body has to find its center of gravity before landing again. This helps to strengthen your core muscles.
- Jumping on the trampoline is a fun form of exercise. The feeling of flying in the air is not only freeing but exhilarating. You receive the same benefit from jumping on a trampoline for 20 minutes as you do running.
We know these reasons are convincing but if you’re still skeptical, check out our blog post about what happens to your body on a trampoline.
